Bear hunt assignment cards
During the corona time, a lot of parents went on a (cuddly) bear hunt with their child.
To enrich this bear hunt, we have designed a number of assignment cards at Codescooljr. After seeing a certain number of bears, each toddler receives an assignment card (number of bears to be determined).
The intention is that preschoolers take an assignment card from a grab bag or box and then carry it out. The assignment cards are visually clear for preschoolers so that they can find out for themselves what the assignment is correct.
Discuss in advance how many bears your preschooler(s) must have seen to complete an assignment.
After that number of bears, have them draw a card from a grab bag or box.
The cards contain easy symbols so that preschoolers can find out what they should do correctly.
Find colors
These assignment cards instruct to find a certain color and taking a picture of it. The color is indicated by the color palette next to it.
Take a picture of…
With these assignment cards, children have to take a picture of the object indicated on the card. This can be a flower, a bear or a letterbox.
Robbie the robot With this assignment card, the child turns into a robot. This robot will have to take ten steps just like a real robot would.
Change to...
With this assignment card, toddlers change into a certain animal. That animal is shown on the assignment card. In addition, you will see a certain number. This number represents the traject that the preschooler will perform, just as that animal would. There is a specific code for each number. These are the orange cards. Find the correct code and execute it like a lion, frog, mouse, horse, elephant or turtle.
We chose to make the codes look just like the Bee-Bot and many other robots.
The codes are as follows:
All you have to do in advance is print and cut out the assignment cards (see downloads).
Then put it in a grab bag or bag and get started right away.
